CBD Programmes of Work
A number of thematic programmes and cross-cutting issues have been launched at conferences of the parties to the CBD. Such programmes are set up to prepare and adopt thematic decisions along with targets and activities for putting them into practice.

Working groups have been set up to advance some of the programmes of work. There are working groups on
Protected Areas,
Access and Benefit Sharing (ABS),
Rights of indigenous and local communities (Article 8j).
