Please submit applications for issue of a certificate of exemption from the ban on commercial use in connection with a previously issued import permit, to:

using the forms provided here in pdf format. These pre-printed forms can be downloaded and copied as many times as required for further applications.

Unfortunately the CITES-online system for electronic submission of applications for  permits cannot be used to apply for a certificate of exemption.

The certificate of exemption forms are supplied by the German Federal Agency for Nature Conservation (BfN) and charged to you as part of the  costs of issuing the certificate of exemption.

Reminder:

When you submit application form no. 224 please enclose the original of the yellow import permit issued by the Federal Agency for Nature Conservation and completed by the customs office at the point of entry.
