Nature Conservation and Sport/Leisure

To develop differentiated strategies, close cooperation and trust are required between policy-makers working in the fields of sport and nature conservation. This is necessary both before decisions are taken and also when managing the implementation of the identified solutions. Intensifying dialogue and cooperation in order to achieve a fair balance of interests increases mutual acceptance and promotes a relationship based on trust between the partners working in nature conservation and sport.
The sports clubs' responsibility for ensuring that sporting activities have a low impact on the natural environment has increased. The nature conservation agencies support the development of sporting activities which are compatible with nature conservation.
