We predominantly offer organic and regional food but we prefer regional products in order to minimise transport distances, offer fresh food and strengthen the local economy.
Many of the organic farming products served have been produced on Rügen island.
You have the chance to taste our seasonal specialities such as herring in spring and autumn, belone in early summer, wild garlic soup, sea buckthorn juice and Rügen cabbage dishes. We serve fruits and vegetables of the season, freshly harvested.
Our coffee and tea is organically grown and fairly traded.
For those products that have been awarded the FairTrade-Certificate small farmers receive a fairer and more stable price. This helps to reduce the logging pressure on tropical rainforests.
Hereby, we contribute to a healthier world with a higher biodiversity.
